Scoreboards and Monitors
Nook linear solutions offer the ability to meet all the challenges associated with this application. We also offer a wide range of accessories that are ideal for highly accurate positioning and control.
A scoreboard displays the score and other information in a game or other event. Most levels of sport from high school and above use at least one scoreboard for keeping score, measuring time, and displaying statistics. Most modern scoreboards use electromechanical or electronic means of displaying the score. In these, digits are often composed of large dot-matrix or seven-segment displays made of incandescent bulbs, LED's, or electromechanical flip segments. Typically, an official or neutral person will operate the scoreboard, using a control panel.
Scoreboards must be raised, lowered, or moved to allow pedestrian foot traffic or equipment to be moved into and out of the stadium. Some are more than 30 feet high and 30 feet wide while weighing several thousand pounds. They must also be synchronized to raised and lowered levels or they may become damaged. Outdoor stadiums and venues require water tight enclosures and connectors.
