Nook products are ideally suited for customers within the communications industry. This primarily includes manufacturers of broadcasting and other wireless communications equipment.
Rugged and Reliable Motion in all Weather
For over 50 years, Nook linear motion solutions enhanced the performance on countless satellite communication applications.
Satellites must continuously make precise movements while performing quickly and efficiently under difficult environmental conditions.
Nook linear motion systems are ideally suited for the rapid movement requirements of modern-day satellites. This includes satellite-operated devices such as dish antennas, sensors, earth-imaging equipment, and mobile applications. Our linear actuators systems provide the high torque control required to effectively and efficiently manage the very rapid movement of satellites.
Machine Screw and Ball Screw Jacks from 1 ton to 15 ton capacities can be supplied with double clevis mounts. One clevis is mounted on the end of the lift shaft and the other clevis is welded to a heavy duty stem cover, which is welded to the housing. Double clevis designs are available with optional accessories such as boots, motor mounts, right-angle reducers, motors, encoders and rotary limit switches.
Linear Actuators in Satellite Applications
Nook provides the ideal linear motion solutions for communications applications. We can custom design a solution to your exact needs.
Linear motion in satellite dish applications is provided by a Nook Double Clevis Jack. Double clevis jacks are used when it is necessary to move a load through an arc, such as tracking antennas, hinged doors, solar trackers or air dampers.
