			Slide Systems: Nook Industries manufactures a full range of pre-assembled and ready to mount slide systems. Systems include manual and automated drive options, protective boots, special motor mounts and custom carriage plate machining. MM SlideT metric-dimensioned compact slide units utilize lightweight aluminum components and an integrated carriage/pillow block assembly for a reduced overall height.
			Shafting: Manufactured from high quality carbon steel induction hardened to HRC 60-63 or stainless 440C induction hardened to HRC 50-55. Case depth on all shafting is precisely controlled for optimal performance. The extremely hard surface minimizes wear and is resistant to nicks and scratches. Shafting can be cut to specified lengths and end-machined. Shafting available with drilled and tapped radial holes to accept a continuous shaft support rail.
			Shaft Supports: Manufactured from aluminum, support blocks are available for end mount applications and continuous rail supports are available to prevent shaft deflection when supporting heavy loads or long travel lengths.
			Ball Bearings: A full range of self-aligning EXCELT linear bearings, solid shell LBB linear bearings, and Instrument Bearings are available. These bearings provide solutions for self-aligning precision bore, light load and small diameter, high precision applications.
			Pillow Blocks: Supplied with self-aligning EXCEL bearings and lip seals. The sealed pillow block keeps lubricant in and dirt and debris out resulting in smoother operation and longer bearing life. The aligning bearings adjust for shaft deflection.
			Mechanical Screw Jacks: Produced in standard ball and acme screw actuated models with multiple configurations available per model size. These jacks may be used individually or in multiple arrangements. All jacks offer customized travel lengths to meet application requirements and each Worm Gear Screw Jack is built to specification. Load handling capacities range from 1/4 ton to 100 tons. A full line of accessories is available with each unit.
			Electric Cylinder Actuators: Produced in standard ball and acme screw actuated models with multiple capacities and travel rates available. These cylinders may be used individually or in multiple arrangements. Each Electric Cylinder is built to specification. Thrust capacities range from 100 lbs. to 40,000 lbs.
			Ball Screws / Ball Nuts (inch and metric): Small diameter screws manufactured in lead accuracies of: ±0.004 in/ft, ±0.001 in/ft, ±0.0005 in/ft, ±100µm/300mm and ±25µm/300mm; Thread form: Gothic arch. An efficient means of converting rotary motion to linear motion, ball screw assemblies have a number of bearing balls that transfer the load between the nut and screw. Provides highly accurate and repeatable movement with predictable life.
			Acme Screws / Acme Nuts (inch and metric): Small diameter screws manufactured in lead accuracy of ±0.0003 in/in, ±6.25µm/25mm and ±17µm/25mm; Threads forms include: Centralizing (C), M1 and M2 Stub Acme, 40 degree Modified Axial Included Angle and a High Helix proprietary form. When compared to general-purpose thread forms, centralizing threads are manufactured with tighter tolerances and limited clearance between the major diameter of the nut and the major diameter of the screw to prevent wedging.
			Precision End Machining: Ball scews, acme and lead screws and linear shafting can be supplied machined to customer specifications or to Nook standard end configurations.
