Nook NRS Planetary Roller Screws Provide Precise Linear Motion For Demanding Applications

Nook Industries, a leading manufacturer of linear motion control systems and components, announces the availability of NRS Planetary Roller Screw Assemblies for the most demanding and precise linear motion applications.

The introduction of Nook Roller Screw Assemblies leverages Nook engineering expertise with a device that offers multiple advantages and reliability when compared with other lead screw assemblies. NRS Roller Screw high efficiency and shallow lead designs provide very high axial resolution (small axial movement) with a multitude of contact points for carrying large loads. NRS Roller Screws provide high rotational speeds with faster acceleration without adverse effects.

"Nook NRS Roller Screws are remarkable devices for solving a large spectrum of applications," says Ron Domeck, President of Nook Industries. "High static load capacity with small leads, high linear speeds, high linear and angular acceleration in a single assembly offer a solution unmatched by other lead screw designs. Roller Screws keep operating under shock loads and adverse environmental conditions even with poor lubrication conditions and after ingesting ice and sand."

NRS assemblies feature nuts with threaded rollers instead of bearing balls as rolling elements. Nuts are available with an integral flange or as a cylindrical nut in a split preloaded or one-piece solid non-preloaded design. Custom travel lengths and accessories, including precision end machining, locknuts and EZZE-MOUNT™ bearing support blocks are available.

2D and 3D models of Nook products - including ActionJac™ ILA Cylinders, ActionJac™ Worm Gear Screw Jacks, ActionJac™ Electric Cylinders, MiniLift™ Linear Actuators, MM Slide™ Systems, PowerTrax™ Linear Bearings, Pillow Blocks and Slide Systems, PowerAc™ Acme Screw Assemblies, PowerTrac™ Ball Screw Assemblies, End Machining & EZZE-MOUNT™ End Bearing Supports - in all major CAD formats, including AutoCAD® , SolidWorks® , CATIA® and Pro/E® , are available for download at:
