ActionJac Inline Electric Cylinder

Cleveland, OH - May 24, 2004

Rugged, Compact Cylinder For High-Duty Cycle Applications In Harsh Environments

Nook Industries, a leading manufacturer of linear motion control systems and components, today announced the addition of the ILA inline electric cylinder, which is designed to withstand the pressures of operating at higher duty cycles in harsh industrial environments, to its line of ActionJac™ linear control products.

The introduction of an ActionJac inline electric cylinder provides a means for using worm gear screw jacks outdoors, in high-containment environments, and in harsh industrial settings. The new electric cylinder is designed to couple a motor or gear reducer directly to the lift shaft, which promotes higher speeds and duty cycles, and can easily accommodate servo motors and planetary gear reducers, providing additional flexibility.

"The popularity and versatility of screw jacks encourages us to further develop the line - pushing the envelope - in response to market demands," says Ron Domeck, President of Nook Industries. "The rugged, compact design of the ActionJac inline electric cylinder makes it a viable option for virtually any application. There is no other electric cylinder on the market today quite like it."

2D and 3D models of Nook products - including ActionJac™ ILA Cylinders, ActionJac™ Worm Gear Screw Jacks, ActionJac™ Electric Cylinders, MiniLift™ Linear Actuators, MM Slide™ Systems, PowerTrax™ Linear Bearings, Pillow Blocks and Slide Systems, PowerAc™ Acme Screw Assemblies, PowerTrac™ Ball Screw Assemblies, End Machining & EZZEMOUNT™ End Bearing Supports - in all major CAD formats, including AutoCAD®, SolidWorks®, CATIA® and Pro/E®, are available for download at
